Doctoral Dissertation Award

About this program

The Association for Information Science and Technology (ASIS&T) offers its Doctoral Dissertation Award to recognize the most outstanding dissertation in information science completed during the preceding year. The award includes a US$500 prize, a certificate, and up to US$500 toward travel or other expenses for attendance at the ASIS&T Annual Meeting, where the award is presented.

Nominees must have completed their doctorate between April 1, 2025, and March 31, 2026, and be current ASIS&T members in good standing. Nominations, due by April 1 via the online portal, must include the author’s contact information, the complete dissertation, and a letter of endorsement from the dissertation advisor; evaluation considers topic significance, methodology, clarity, and data quality.
