Douglas Haskell Award for Student Journals

AIA New York’s Center for Architecture administers the Douglas Haskell Award for Student Journalism, established by Helen Lacey Haskell to encourage intelligent writing about architecture and to support the ongoing publication of student-edited journals. The award provides funding to student-run journals whose subject matter includes architectural design, history, theory, planning, or related topics and is explicitly intended to support the publication rather than to reward individuals. Eligible applicants are student-edited journals (typically affiliated with academic programs); submissions are due June 12, 2026.
