About this program
The National Council on Family Relations (NCFR) offers the biennial Dr. Marie F. Peters Award to recognize distinguished scholars, researchers, and practitioners who have significantly contributed to the study and support of ethnic minority families. The award includes a $500 cash prize, plaque, and presentation of the Dr. Marie Peters Address at the NCFR Annual Conference. Nominees must be current NCFR and Racial and Ethnic Diversity in Families (REDF) Section members and demonstrate leadership or mentoring, scholarship or service, and contributions to NCFR and the REDF Section. Nominations require a curriculum vitae, one nomination letter from an NCFR member, and two support letters, including at least one from a REDF Section member; the deadline is May 22.
