3-Year Tupper Postdoctoral Fellowship

About this program

The Smithsonian Tropical Research Institute (STRI) invites applications for the three-year Earl S. Tupper Postdoctoral Fellowship supporting tropical research based at STRI facilities, with comparative research in other tropical countries also considered. Fellows receive an annual stipend of $57,000, increasing by $1,000 in years two and three, plus up to $16,000 annually for research expenses. Applicants must propose research in a relevant field, designate an STRI staff host/advisor and two co-advisors, and submit through SOLAA by June 15, 2027. Applications must include a research proposal, budget, bibliography, CV, and two reference letters not from the applicant’s primary advisor or proposed co-advisors.
