Early Career Achievement Award

About this program

The Awards & Recognition Committee (professional society) offers the annual Early Career Achievement Award to recognize exceptional work by beginning scientists; established in 2001, the prize includes a plaque and $1,500 toward travel/registration to the ASP meeting where the recipient presents a featured talk. Nominations are due April 30 of the year in which the nominee is considered and should be sent to Dr. Juan Carlos Serio Silva (Chair, Awards & Recognition Committee) at juan.serio@inecol.mx. Eligible nominees must be less than seven years past receipt of the Ph.D.; the commended work must have been carried out independently of the advisor and be distinct from the nominee’s doctoral research, and nominations must come from outside the nominee’s lab or research unit and include the nominee’s CV.
