About this program
The Plant-Insect Ecosystems Section of the Entomological Society of America offers one $1,000 recognition award to an early-career professional who has made an exceptional impact in research, education, and/or outreach or extension in plant-insect ecosystems. Applicants must be current ESA and P-IE Section members within five years of receiving their terminal degree. Nomination materials include a one-page personal statement, a mentor or supervisor recommendation letter, and a two-page CV; submissions are due online by June 1 annually. Awardees must attend the P-IE awards event or provide a three-minute video and contribute a post to the P-IE newsletter.
