Early-Career Scientist Award

About this program

The International Coral Reef Society offers its annual Early-Career Scientist Award to recognize excellence in coral reef research, including contributions to diversity, equity, and inclusion, mentorship, and community engagement. The recipient receives a certificate, an invitation to present at the next ICRS symposium, and an invitation to contribute to Reef Encounters. Applicants must be current ICRS members who have held membership for at least two of the past five years and must be no more than 10 years post-PhD, with extensions possible for documented extenuating circumstances. Applications are due February 15, and one award is made annually.
