Early Career Scientist Award

About this program

The International Society for Heart and Lung Transplantation (ISHLT) offers the Early Career Scientist Award to recognize excellence in basic and translational research and encourage early-career non-clinicians to present their work at the ISHLT Annual Meeting. Five finalists receive oral presentation opportunities and waived meeting registration; the recipient also receives complimentary ISHLT membership for the remainder of the year and registration for the following Annual Meeting. Applicants must be trainee scientists, medical students, or early-career nurses or pharmacists within six years of completing formal training, and may not be post-graduate clinicians or faculty. Applicants must submit a basic science abstract as first author and presenter and must not have previously won the award.
