About this program

Eastern Oregon Border Economic Development Board (via Oregon Community Foundation) offers the Scott Fairley Memorial Edge Grant to fund projects that materially expand education, workforce, or economic development capacity in the Eastern Oregon Border Region; application windows are Feb 1–Mar 31 and Aug 1–Sep 30, and awards are up to $25,000. Priority is given to projects that enhance regional prosperity, improve the property tax base, increase competitiveness with Idaho, grow workforce availability and skills, improve the region’s image, and leverage outside funding. Eligible applicants include residents, landowners, schools, businesses, local governments, nonprofit organizations, and community groups located within the Border Region. Applications must be submitted by the posted deadline (late submissions are not considered); questions must be submitted in writing at least two weeks before a deadline and inquiries/applications may be directed to Board Coordinator Emily Conlon at eoborderboard@gmail.com (technical questions: grants@oregoncf.org).
