ECP Extension, Outreach and Engagement Award

About this program

The Entomological Society of America administers the ECP Extension, Outreach and Engagement Award to honor a Student Transition or Early Professional in entomology who has demonstrated excellence, leadership, and creativity in extension, outreach, and public engagement; the recipient receives complimentary ESA Annual Meeting registration, $1,000, and an award plaque. Nominations are submitted online via the ESA awards site and must include a CV (with background, extension/outreach, and service sections), an outreach statement by the nominee (max two pages), two letters of nomination/recommendation, and a signed professional conduct disclosure; the complete package must be uploaded as individual files, total no more than 20 pages, and be in PDF, TIF, or JPG with minimum 10‑pt font. Eligible nominees must be current ESA Student Transition or Early Professional members (eligible the year following a terminal degree or within five years of degree completion; those who graduated in the nomination year are considered Students through year-end and thus ineligible), nominators may self-nominate up to twice per year, eligibility extension requests must be emailed to awards@entsoc.org by May 1, and the nomination deadline is listed as June 1 with notifications approximately two months later.
