ECP Extension, Outreach and Engagement Award

About this program

The Entomological Society of America offers the ECP Extension, Outreach and Engagement Award to recognize a Student Transition or Early Professional who has demonstrated excellence, leadership, and creativity in extension, outreach, and public engagement; the recipient receives complimentary ESA Annual Meeting registration, $1,000, and an award plaque. Nominees must be current ESA Student Transition or Early Professional members and are eligible the year following their terminal degree or within five years of degree completion; eligibility-extension requests must be emailed to awards@entsoc.org by May 1 for consideration. Nominations—submitted electronically via the ESA awards site—must include a CV with specified sections (including extension/outreach and service), an outreach statement no longer than two pages, and two letters of nomination; the entire package must not exceed 20 pages, use at least 10-point font, be uploaded as individual PDF/TIF/JPG files, and include signed professional conduct disclosure forms. Anyone may submit a nomination (maximum two self-nominations per year); judging emphasizes entomological contributions, originality, scope, and leadership, and candidates and nominators are notified about two months after the submission deadline.
