About this program

The Florida Department of Health’s Ed and Ethel Moore Alzheimer’s Disease Research Program offers Standard Grants (up to $350,000) to support fully developed, hypothesis-driven research projects addressing prevention, diagnosis, treatment, and cure of Alzheimer’s disease. Priority is given to proposals that align with program research areas such as therapeutic strategies for behavioral and caregiver needs, discovery/validation of therapeutic targets and biomarkers, consortium clinical research, epidemiologic studies of genetic/vascular contributors to cognitive impairment, and fellowship training. Eligible applicants are researchers at Florida universities or research institutes; Standard Grant applications must include sound background and promising preliminary data. Organizations may submit no more than seven Standard Grants, each project may be submitted only once per funding cycle, and a single proposal may not be entered in multiple grant categories.
