EDRC Rapid Projects Fund

About this program

The EDRC Rapid Projects Fund offers flexible grants of up to £50,000 (covering 80% fEC) to support short, rapid-response research activities that complement and extend the centre’s existing programme. Current EDRC team members and researchers new to EDRC are eligible to apply for additional projects such as quick surveys, rapid evidence reviews, or extra PDRA time that address a specific research question and are clearly additional to funded EDRC work. Applicants must address EDI considerations in research design and data management, justify resource use, and deliver a final report, itemised fund usage, links to an EDRC Theme or Challenge, outputs, and demonstrated impact. The fund is closed until 2 February 2026 (submissions before that date will not be reviewed); completed application forms should be sent to flexiblefund@edrc.ac.uk and full guidance and FAQs are on the EDRC website.
