Edwin H. Armstrong Award (IEEE Communications Society)

The IEEE Communications Society presents the Edwin H. Armstrong Award to recognize outstanding, sustained contributions in the Society’s fields, honoring Armstrong’s foundational work in radio and communications. The recipient receives a certificate, plaque and a US$2,000 honorarium, with presentation normally at the IEEE International Conference on Communications (ICC); the award may be withheld if no suitable candidate is found. Candidates must be members of the IEEE Communications Society and are judged on demonstrated excellence over a period of years. Nominations are solicited annually (call opens July 15) and are due by 1 September.
