Emile Theriault Library and Information Technology Award

Offered by the Nova Scotia Library Association, the Emile Theriault Library and Information Technology Award (est. 2006) recognizes a library support staff member in Nova Scotia who has made a major contribution to their library community; the recipient receives an engraved plaque and an NSLA membership, presented at the NSLA Annual Conference Banquet. Calls for nominations are issued by May 1 with a June 30 submission deadline; a committee (NSLA Past‑President as chair, Vice‑President, and a member‑at‑large) reviews submissions and makes a recommendation to the NSLA Board by July 15 and may recommend withholding the award. Eligible nominees must be library support staff in Nova Scotia; nominations must be written and signed by two nominators (one must be a current NSLA member) and include nominee contact details, documentation of accomplishments, and two letters of endorsement (which may include letters from the nominators). Submit nominations to the NSLA Past‑President and direct inquiries to Denise Corey at past.president@nsla.ns.ca.
