Walter van Schalkwijk Award in Sustainable Energy Technology

The Electrochemical Society’s Energy Technology Division offers the Walter van Schalkwijk Award in Sustainable Energy Technology to recognize scientists, academics, and entrepreneurs making innovative, transformative contributions to sustainable energy devices, materials, or processes. The annual award includes a framed certificate, USD $1,000, and an invited lecture at the ECS fall meeting. Nominees must demonstrate outstanding achievements through publications, proceedings articles, or patents showing originality, rigor, significance, and potential or demonstrated commercialization, and must maintain active ECS membership. Nominations, including a cover letter, CV, three recommendation letters, and six representative works, are accepted annually from October 15 through January 15; self-nominations are permitted.
