ESA Founders' Memorial Award

About this program

The Entomological Society of America offers the Founders’ Memorial Award to recognize an accomplished entomologist who presents a keynote lecture honoring the posthumous contributions of a scientist whose work significantly influenced entomology. The award includes a $1,000 honorarium, inscribed plaque, and complimentary registration to the ESA Annual Meeting, where the recipient must deliver the memorial lecture. The presenter must be a current ESA member with a distinguished record in entomology, while the honoree must have made major contributions to the field. Nominations, submitted by any ESA member, must include a nomination letter, biographical sketches, achievement documentation, three recommendation letters, and signed professional conduct disclosures by April 17 annually.
