The European Society of Clinical Microbiology and Infectious Diseases (ESCMID) offers an award recognizing outstanding contributions to the field of infection. Any ESCMID member may nominate a deserving individual by submitting a motivation letter of no more than 500 words; self-nominations are not accepted. Nominees do not need to be ESCMID members, although members receive priority during selection.
