About this program

European Society of Regional Anaesthesia (ESRA) offers Educational Grants to support ESRA members undertaking teaching rotations or research at ESRA‑Approved Training Institutions in Regional Anaesthesia and Pain Medicine in Europe, funding programs of 3–6 months (2‑month exception for Lausanne noted). Awards include a fixed €1,000 travel reimbursement (paid ~4 weeks before start) plus a monthly stipend of €500–€1,000 up to a maximum grant of €3,000; 50% is paid on confirmation of arrival and 50% on confirmation of completion and return. Applicants must be ESRA members applying specifically for extended training in regional anaesthesia or pain medicine (other anaesthesia subjects are ineligible), complete training within one year, and accept that grants are non‑transferable and placements cannot be changed after confirmation. Required materials: CV, personal statement, two recommendation letters and a work certificate from the Chair of the Anaesthesia department; applications accepted anytime (deadline listed 2026‑12‑31).
