Europe Section Alessandro Volta Medal

About this program

The Electrochemical Society (ECS) Europe Section offers the Alessandro Volta Medal to recognize outstanding achievements in electrochemical science or solid-state science and technology, based on publications and/or technical contributions. The award includes a silver medal and USD $2,000, and recipients are invited to deliver the Volta Award Lecture at the designated ECS meeting. Nominees must be active members of ECS and the ECS Europe Section; nominations may be submitted by any ECS member or Europe Section Executive Committee member. Applications require an electronic nomination form, nomination letter, CV and publication list, and up to five letters of support; the nomination period runs from October 15 in odd years through January 15 in even years.
