European Section Early Career Travel Grant

About this program

AOCS (American Oil Chemists' Society) offers the European Section Early Career Travel Grant to support junior researchers presenting at the AOCS Annual Meeting and to encourage involvement in the AOCS European Section; up to two awards of up to €750 (plus a certificate and an opportunity to present in the technical program) are made annually. Eligible applicants are early-career professionals with fewer than seven years of employment at a European higher-education institution or research laboratory; full professors and prior recipients are ineligible, and preference is given to those demonstrating interest in active participation in the European Section. Applications are submitted via the AOCS Awards Portal and must include a 300–500-word statement addressing significance and fit with the Section, a two-page CV detailing grant procurement, students supervised, and publications, and a copy of the abstract submitted for the current year’s AOCS Annual Meeting.
