About this program
The American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE), through Project ExCEEd and its Committee on Faculty Development, offers the ExCEEd Teaching Award to recognize outstanding new faculty and excellence in undergraduate civil engineering education. Eligible nominees must be full-time faculty at a two- or four-year institution, teach civil engineering or a related field, have no more than five years of full-time teaching experience, and belong to ASCE or one of its institutes. Nominations must be submitted by an ASCE member by April 11 and include a department chair/dean endorsement letter, curriculum vitae, and teaching portfolio documenting educational excellence, scholarly work, teaching materials, outreach, and curriculum development.
