Excellence in Statistical Reporting Award

About this program

The American Statistical Association’s Excellence in Statistical Reporting Award recognizes media professionals who demonstrate outstanding presentation of statistical science and its role in public life, either through a single work or sustained contributions. Candidates are evaluated on the correctness, clarity, fairness, impact, and effectiveness of their reporting, as well as its emphasis on statistical issues and research. Nominations, including self-nominations, are due March 1 and must include the nominee’s contact information, a one-paragraph justification, two representative works, and a headshot; supporting materials are optional.
