Expanding Florida’s Cancer Research (Casey DeSantis Cancer Research Programs)

The Florida Casey DeSantis Cancer Research Programs (FY2025‑26) is funding peer‑reviewed, competitive awards to expand cancer research capacity across the state by attracting new, grant‑productive investigators, building cancer informatics infrastructure, supporting technical coordination and intellectual‑property/business development, and increasing adult participation in clinical trials while addressing cancer disparities. Priority will be given to proposals that demonstrate the greatest potential to leverage federal research grants and private financial support, foster multidisciplinary collaboration, and improve patient/provider access to trial information. Eligible applicants are typically Florida‑based cancer centers, academic institutions, research institutes, and qualifying community oncology partners as defined in the FOA, and must comply with the program’s application, grant‑management, and reporting requirements.
