About this program

The Connecticut Poetry Society’s Experimental Poetry Award seeks innovative poems exploring the creative possibilities of language, form, and visuals, including text, audio, video, new forms, or radical adaptations of traditional forms. The winner receives $1,000 and recognition in the Connecticut River Review, with up to four finalists also recognized. Open to all poets, the contest accepts up to three unpublished poems through Submittable from June 15 through July 31, with a $15 reading fee. Submissions must omit identifying information, and work created with AI software is not eligible.
