Knight‑Hennessy Scholars at Stanford University provides comprehensive funding for up to three years of graduate study, including a fellowship for tuition and fees, a living and academic stipend, an annual travel allowance, a one‑time relocation stipend for new scholars, and opportunities for supplemental academic enrichment funding in later years. Funding covers the degree(s) specified in the KHS admission letter and scholars may apply for additional funding for a second degree up to the three‑year maximum, but extra or extended support is not guaranteed; programs that exceed three years (e.g., MD, PhD, joint degrees) follow the individual graduate program’s standard funding commitment. Eligibility requires selection as a Knight‑Hennessy Scholar at the time of admission, and scholars should consult KHS and their graduate program for degree‑specific funding details and application processes for supplemental funds. Fellowship stipends are taxable (with limited international exceptions) and scholars are responsible for any tax liabilities; KHS does not reimburse taxes.
