Fine Arts Field Grant by Society Awards

About this program

The Explorers Club, with support from Society Awards and David Moritz, offers the Fine Arts Field Grant to pair fine artists with Impact Grant expeditions, enabling them to create work inspired by remote field experiences. Recipients are matched with suitable expeditions and must produce and exhibit an expedition-inspired work at The Explorers Club within 12 months of completing fieldwork. Fine artists in any career stage may apply, and Explorers Club membership is not required; applicants should demonstrate a distinctive body of work, a meaningful connection to exploration, and the flexibility and resilience required for fieldwork. Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis and must include a portfolio, résumé/CV, professional headshot, and two letters of support.
