About this program
The American Mathematical Society, Mathematical Association of America, and Society for Industrial and Applied Mathematics jointly award the annual Frank and Brennie Morgan Prize for Outstanding Research in Mathematics by an Undergraduate Student, which includes a $1,200 award. The next call for nominations opens February 1, 2027, with nominations submitted through the AMS website. Eligible candidates must have been current undergraduate students at institutions in Canada, Mexico, the United States, or its territories as of December 31, 2025, and must remain students when nominated, although they may graduate during the nomination period. Nominations should include a recommendation letter, a citation for the relevant published work, and a proposed award citation; unpublished papers and additional support letters are optional.
