Fred V. Grau Turfgrass Science Award

The Crop Science Society of America (CSSA) presents the Fred V. Grau Turfgrass Science Award to recognize significant career contributions in turfgrass science over the most recent 15 years; the award includes a certificate, a complimentary award-ceremony ticket, and $2,000. Nominations are accepted annually from January through March 25 and must be submitted by nominators who are members of ASA, CSSA, and/or SSSA and who are not members of the CSSA Awards Committee or Board. Nominees must be living members of ASA, CSSA, and/or SSSA, may not be current committee or board members or prior recipients, and team nominations are ineligible. Nominations must document the nominee’s last 15 years of work with detailed sections on positions, degrees, honors, research and professional contributions, service, administration, teaching, and a summarizing evaluation, submitted via the CSSA awards portal.
