About this program

The Phycological Society of America (PSA) offers free or discounted memberships to individuals interested in phycology who demonstrate financial need and would benefit from PSA membership. Membership includes access to the Journal of Phycology, society communications, and eligibility for student and early-career research, travel, and field-course grants. Applicants must complete the online form with statements describing their interest in PSA and financial need by February 1; a second deadline of May 1 may apply if funds remain. Preference may be given to first-time and student applicants, individuals from developing countries, applicants with society service experience, and those with greatest financial need.
