FY27 GLIA-CTN Pilot Project Award

The GLIA Clinical Trials Network (GLIA-CTN) invites FY27 Pilot Project Award applications to support early-stage clinical/translational research that enhances trial readiness for established leukodystrophies (e.g., biomarker development, therapeutic assays), providing up to $15,000 for a one-year project to generate preliminary data. Applications are accepted on a rolling basis from 11/16/2025–06/30/2026, with at least two awards funded annually and projects required to start by no later than September 1, 2026. Eligible applicants must be US-based and hold a clinically oriented doctoral degree (MD, DO, DDS/DMD, OD, DC, PharmD) or be a clinically licensed nurse researcher; PhD-only applicants may qualify if integrated with the local clinical team and partnered to establish a Leukodystrophy Center. Projects must use patient samples, imaging, or clinical data, obtain IRB (and IACUC where applicable) approval prior to funding, permit PHI sharing with CHOP/RDCRN, and demonstrate planned collaboration with GLIA-CTN resources and investigators.
