Gender Justice Prize

About this program

The American Anthropological Association offers the annual Gender Justice Prize, including a $1,000 award, to recognize scholarship, practice, or advocacy that advances understanding of gender inequities and promotes more just and inclusive communities. Contributions must have been made within the past three years, and the prize welcomes inclusive perspectives from all areas of anthropology. Scholars and practitioners from all anthropological subfields and career stages are eligible, provided they are AAA members. Nominations, including self-nominations, require a CV or résumé, evidence of the nominee’s work, and two support letters, at least one from an anthropologist; the submission deadline is June 17.
