The American Society for Eighteenth-Century Studies (ASECS) offers the George E. Haggerty Prize in LGBTQ+ Studies in Eighteenth-Century Scholarship for outstanding peer-reviewed books and articles addressing LGBTQ+ studies in the eighteenth century. The book prize accepts works published January 1, 2024–December 31, 2025, with submissions due January 15, 2026; the article prize accepts works published January 1, 2025–December 31, 2026, with submissions due January 15, 2027. Nominations may be submitted by ASECS members, authors, publishers, or journal editors, but authors must hold ASECS membership at the time of submission. Book nominations require three copies, while article nominations are submitted online; English-language works are preferred, though works in other languages may be considered.
