George N. Batianoff Award for Team Excellence

Invasive Species Queensland offers the biennial George N. Batianoff Award for Team Excellence to recognise Queensland weed management teams that achieve exceptional on‑ground results or make outstanding contributions to weed management; winners receive perpetual trophy engraving, personal certificates and reasonable travel support for a representative to attend the Pest Animal and Weed Symposium (PAWS) dinner. Eligible projects are team-based efforts ongoing or completed within the last two years that demonstrate significant additions to knowledge, increased stakeholder awareness, innovative techniques or planning, collaborative management, or consistently outstanding outcomes. Nominations must be submitted to the ISQ Secretariat prior to the PAWS call, be signed by one or more financial ISQ members (teams may include non-members), and will be assessed by a committee appointed by the ISQ executive.
