Gil Kushner Memorial Travel Award

The Society for Applied Anthropology offers two $750 Gil Kushner Memorial Travel Awards to support student travel to its Annual Meeting, honoring Gilbert Kushner’s contributions to applied anthropology and the study of cultural persistence. Applicants must have been enrolled as students during part of the current year, be registered for the meeting, and have an accepted paper or poster on the persistence of cultural groups. Applications require a brief essay of up to 500 words describing how meeting participation will advance the applicant’s professional goals and, optionally, their interest in cultural persistence; the deadline is December 20.
