Gina Walker Outstanding Project Award

The Communal Studies Association offers the Gina Walker Outstanding Project Award to recognize non-print projects that promote the study of communal societies, including videos, websites, broadcasts, archaeological excavations, and museum exhibits. Eligible projects must have been completed within the previous two years and generally involve multiple participants. Nominations must include a form describing the project and its contribution to communal studies; supporting materials such as press releases, articles, photographs, or other documentation are encouraged. Recommendations are due June 1, with recipients announced at the association’s annual fall conference and honored with a plaque.
