About this program
The Society for Conservation Biology (SCB) presents up to six Global Service Awards biennially at its International Congress for Conservation Biology to recognize individuals, groups, or institutions for distinguished contributions to biodiversity conservation. Special categories honor early-career conservationists, women of marginalized and multiply marginalized status, and innovative applications of science to resource management and policy. Nominees may be nonmembers, and self-nominations are accepted, but nominators must be SCB members. Each nomination must include at least two letters of support.
