The Electrochemical Society (ECS) offers the Gordon E. Moore Medal for Outstanding Achievement in Solid State Science and Technology to recognize distinguished contributions to the fundamental understanding and technological applications of solid-state materials, phenomena, and processes. The award includes a silver medal, plaque, $7,500, complimentary meeting registration for the recipient and a companion, an honor dinner, and ECS Life Membership. Nominees need not be ECS members and must be supported by a completed electronic nomination form and two to five one-page letters of support; a CV and publications list are optional. Nominations are accepted March 15–June 15 in even-numbered years, and recipients must deliver a related general address at the designated Society meeting.
