About this program

The Law Society awarded £840,000 in grants and sponsorships (funded from the annual practising certificate at roughly £2.50 per solicitor per year) across 2023–2025 to support not‑for‑profit projects focused on solicitor mental‑health support, public legal education in schools, promotion and development of legal aid and pro bono services, and widening access/diverse routes into the profession. Awards funded project delivery between November 2023 and October 2025 and were distributed across 12 projects over two years. Eligibility was limited to not‑for‑profit organisations; the programme is not currently open for new applications while the Law Society reviews its 2026 grant funding approach, with a funded-project breakdown and further information available on the Law Society website and via its funding team.
