About this program
The American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) and its Geo-Institute offer the H. Bolton Seed Medal to recognize outstanding cumulative or exceptional contributions to teaching, research, and/or practice in geotechnical engineering, including geotechnical earthquake engineering. The award includes a gold-plated medal, an honorarium, and delivery of the Seed Memorial Lecture at the Geo-Institute Annual Congress. Nominees must be current, good-standing members of ASCE or an ISSMGE member society, regardless of nationality. Nominations, due June 1, must include a signed cover letter, the nominee’s CV or biographical information, and two or three recommendation letters.
