Hands-On Sustainability Experience — Cornell Atkinson-EDF Summer Internships

About this program

Cornell Atkinson funds summer internships embedded with Environmental Defense Fund offices nationwide, enabling Cornell students to work on interdisciplinary projects that connect science, policy, community, and the private sector to advance climate and sustainability solutions. Interns receive hands-on experience and develop technical and policy skills on topics such as blue carbon, carbon pricing, climate‑smart agriculture, fisheries management, net‑zero data analysis, petrochemicals, and wetlands science. Primarily intended for Cornell undergraduate students, with select internship opportunities open to graduate students; specific project listings and eligibility (graduate vs. undergraduate) are specified for each summer cohort.
