Harvard Radcliffe Institute Graduate Student (Dissertation Completion) Fellowships 2027–2028

About this program

Harvard Radcliffe Institute’s 2027–2028 Graduate Student Dissertation Completion Fellowships provide a stipend (to be at least the standard GSAS amount), tuition and health fee coverage, a private workspace at Byerly Hall, and up to $750 for travel related to conferences and job interviews. Fellows are required to reside in Cambridge for the fellowship year, participate in weekly fellows' talks and lunches, and present their work to the community. Eligible applicants must be enrolled in a Harvard PhD program whose financial aid package includes a Dissertation Completion Fellowship. The CARAT application opens by November 2026 with a deadline in early February 2027 and requires a brief statement of benefit from affiliation, a two‑page CV, dissertation abstract and table of contents, two letters of recommendation (one from the dissertation advisor), and two faculty evaluation forms; selection also considers alignment with the research interests of Radcliffe fellows.
