Human Biology Association - International Travel Award

About this program

The Human Biology Association’s International Committee offers travel awards of up to $1,500 to support international members attending and presenting at the HBA Annual Meeting. Funds cover eligible travel expenses not paid by other sources, with original receipts required for reimbursement. Applicants must reside or work outside the United States and Canada, maintain HBA membership in good standing, and have an accepted abstract; priority is generally given to student first authors, junior researchers, applicants from low- and middle-income economies, and those demonstrating financial need. For the 2027 meeting, applications must include a justification letter, travel budget, and presentation title and are due January 1, 2027.
