Health and Nutrition Division New Investigator Research Award

About this program

AOCS (American Oil Chemists' Society) offers the Health and Nutrition Division New Investigator Research Award to recognize an early-career scientist for significant original research on the health or nutrition of fats and oils; the recipient receives a plaque, a US$1,000 honorarium, a complimentary Health & Nutrition Division meal ticket, and a chance to present an award lecture at the AOCS Annual Meeting. Eligible candidates are independent researchers younger than 36 years or who received their highest degree within the previous seven years as of June 1 of the presentation year, with preference for those demonstrating national or international impact; division/AOCS membership is preferred but not required. Nominations are submitted via the AOCS Awards Portal and must include a letter of nomination, at least three letters of support, a curriculum vitae listing publications and patents, and the nominee's date of birth.
