Henry Pickering Bowditch Award Lectureship

The American Physiological Society offers the Henry Pickering Bowditch Award Lectureship to recognize original, outstanding accomplishments in physiology; the recipient presents a lecture at the American Physiology Summit, may have the lecture considered for journal publication, participates in Summit events, and selects 10 abstracts for poster awards. The award carries a $2,500 honorarium and up to $2,000 reimbursement for meeting-related expenses, is contingent on funding, and cannot be deferred. Nominations must be submitted online by others (self-nominations are not permitted) and require two nomination letters and a PDF curriculum vitae. Eligible nominees must be regular APS members aged 42 or younger at the time of the lecture, within eight years of starting their first faculty or staff research scientist position beyond postdoctoral training, and have held APS membership for two consecutive years; the announcement lists an Oct. 6 deadline (year not specified).
