Henry S. Fitch Award for Excellence in Herpetology

The American Society of Ichthyologists and Herpetologists solicits nominations for the Henry S. Fitch Award for Excellence in Herpetology, honoring long-term excellence in amphibian and/or reptile biology, with emphasis on research and consideration of educational and service contributions. The award includes a cash prize and certificate and is presented at the ASIH annual meeting plenary session. Any herpetologist may be nominated, including through self-nomination; submissions must include the nominee’s CV and specific contributions and impacts on herpetology. Nominations are due March 1, 2027, to Dr. Raul Diaz, remain active for three years, and should use “Fitch Award Nomination” as the email subject.
