Henry S. Parmelee Award

The American Fire Sprinkler Association (AFSA) awards the Henry S. Parmelee Award, its highest honor established in 1983 to recognize individuals who have made outstanding, long-term contributions to the professional advancement of the fire sprinkler industry and fire safety through automatic sprinklers; the award is presented annually with a published nomination deadline of June 30 each year. No monetary amount is specified; the award serves to memorialize industry pioneers and highlight sustained service and leadership. Nominations may be submitted only by employees of AFSA member companies in good standing (self-nominations are prohibited); nominees must be employed by an AFSA member company at the time of presentation and the nominee’s employer must sign off on the nomination.
