Herbert Silverstein Award for Research Excellence in Otology/Neurotology

About this program

The American Neurotology Society (ANS), with support from Dr. Herbert Silverstein and the Ear Research Foundation, offers an annual $1,500 award for the best research manuscript in otology/neurotology, presented at the ANS Scientific Meeting. Eligible applicants are otolaryngology residents, neurotology fellows, or early-career clinicians within their first five years of practice. Research must address Meniere’s disease, vestibular disorders, cochlear implants, vestibular schwannomas, or otosclerosis, and the abstract must be selected for oral presentation. Applicants must submit a cover letter and manuscript by November 23, 2026, attend and present at the meeting, and provide the final manuscript in the required journal format four weeks before the meeting.
