The American Chemical Society (ACS) presents the Heroes of Chemistry Award to recognize teams of industrial chemical scientists whose innovative work has led to the successful commercialization of products that benefit humanity. Established in 1996, this award highlights the impact of chemistry on modern life through advancements in technical merit, financial performance, and human impact. Eligibility requires teams of more than one person, including at least one active ACS member, who are chemists, chemical engineers, or allied professionals involved in the development of a commercial product. Nominees may include individuals from diverse organizations, including former or deceased employees, with submissions due by February 1, 2026.
