About this program

The Electrochemical Society’s High-Temperature Energy, Materials, & Processes Division offers the J. Bruce Wagner, Jr. Young Investigator Award to recognize an ECS member demonstrating exceptional promise in high-temperature energy, materials, and processes. The award includes a scroll, $1,000, complimentary meeting registration, and up to $1,000 in travel expenses; recipients must present a keynote talk at an ECS-sponsored symposium. Nominees must be under 40, have at least two years of ECS membership in good standing, and demonstrate impactful scientific or technical work, including at least one publication in the Journal of The Electrochemical Society. Self-nominations are not accepted, and nomination materials must include a form, CV, nomination letter, and at least two reference letters; nominations are accepted October 15 through January 15 in alternating years.
